Chicago Pneumatic makes it a hat trick of genset give-ways at Zambia MTEs
August 2018 saw Chicago Pneumatic travel to Zambia to display its generator prowess at three highly successful Mining & Technical Exhibitions (MTEs) as part of its pledge to give away a CPPG5 portable generator at each of the mining exhibitions during 2018.
A renowned leader in compact, high performance tools and equipment, Chicago Pneumatic, has designed and developed a robust range of generators suitable for harsh unforgiving environments. Engineered to supply a constant electric output, the 5.5Kva petrol-driven CPPG5 generator is powerful, reliable and extremely economical which, coupled with an extended service life, improves work efficiencies and delivers low total cost of ownership to end-users.
Kalumbila (20th), Solwezi (22nd) and Kitwe (24th) served as the three MTE venues in Zambia where Chicago Pneumatic took the opportunity to inform attendees of the vast capabilities of the CPPG5 generator. Van der Vyver was accompanied by Timothy Nshimba from Atlas Copco Zambia during the handover of the portable unit to the three winners: Kalungwe Makupa from FQM Zambia (Kalumbila), Annie Chikapa from Synite Quarries Ltd. (Solwezi) and Dennis Jibinga from Mopani Mine (Kitwe).
Chicago Pneumatic is using the local and cross border (Botswana and Zambia), MTEs as a window of opportunity to exhibit its product portfolio and after-market service to the mining sector as well as to engage with visitors. “The MTEs have all been very well received by a good number of visitors,” states Eben van der Vyver, Business Development Manager, Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment in South Africa.
“These MTEs are a new marketing strategy for CP and have presented us with the opportunity to not only expand our footprint across the mining sector but to also learn more about our customers’ specific needs within these areas.Gaining new business opportunities in Southern Africa is vital to increasing awarenes of our brand and expanding our business.
